Here We Go Again~

To whom this may concern,

Boy, it has been decades since I've written a blog! Brings back memories of the good o'l Xanga days. Originally, I had no intentions of starting another one for I wanted to spend my free time (that I now have from quitting facebook =D) on pursuing productive endeavors. Learn a new skill, hobby, instrument! Focus more time on personal study, studying for school, or just using the extra time to get some well-deserved sleep! Whatever the reason, I did not want to waste my time once more on these social interaction websites.............................................................

But I am a sucker to peer pressure. So here I am, typing away about trivial happenings of my life, revealing my thoughts, emotions, and other personal agenda, that, otherwise should be kept to myself. But not all is lost! As I was typing this entry, a brilliant idea came to mind (well, we'll just see how brilliant this actually is.... or how long I can keep up this brilliant idea). Why not use this blog as a means of doing something productive! Something that would not only benefit me, but would also have the potential to benefit those who read my posts??

And it was decided. I'm going to post the daily scripture every day and just write about it. Anything that comes to mind. I might talk about it in Korean sometimes for the sake of improving upon my Korean skills as well. And not just limited to daily text, but anything spiritual that's worth talking about. By doing so, I hope to get the gears of meditation rolling and also receive spiritual encouragement from other's input. That's where you guys come in. In order for this to work most efficiently, your thoughts on the matter is of utmost importance. Of course, if you don't feel like contributing, that's fine too. In that case, I will consider this my own little project at an attempt to be productive, and to make myself a better person in some aspect, no matter how little difference it may make. For those of you who decide to occasionally chip in to Kevin's little project, know that I value each and every one of your input. So, with that said, let the show begin with the 1st daily scripture of this blog!

I heard, but I could not understand.—Dan. 12:8.

After Armageddon, multitudes of unrighteous resurrected ones will need instruction in Jehovah’s ways. (Acts 24:15) They will need to learn about Jesus’ ransom sacrifice; more than that, they must be taught to exercise faith in that sacrifice in order to receive its benefits. They will need to reject previously held false religious ideas and to abandon their former way of life. They must learn to put on the new personality that identifies true Christians. (Eph. 4:22-24; Col. 3:9, 10) Faithful servants of Jehovah who died prior to Jesus’ earthly ministry will also have much to learn at that time. They will learn the identity of the promised Messiah, whom they longed for but never got to see. Imagine what a joy and privilege it will be to help them—for example, to explain to Daniel the fulfillment of the prophecies he wrote down but did not understand!—Dan. 12:9. w08 1/15 5:13, 14

  2. haha I'm going to. I was just taking a break from all the typing... and FREAK, i just deleted my entire comment..... k, attempt #2:

I think it would be a phenomenal experience to be able to greet the faithful servants of Jehovah during the resurrection. Imagine meeting face-to-face with Abraham and asking him what was going thru his mind at the time when he was told to sacrifice his only son to Jehovah. What enabled him to do it? And Samson, the strongest man in the world.... hearing his accounts on the battlefield would be awe-inspiring. And especially the prophet Daniel. I want to hear from his perspective the account of him being thrown into the lion's pit. To top it off, WE have the privilege of educating THESE ppl and bringing them up to date with the present. And all the others that are resurrected. Can you imagine the number of bible studies we'd all be conducting?!

  3. KEVIN!!!! BLOG!! YEA~~!!!

Actually I used to be involved with a email ring for daily scriptures but it failed (much to blame on my part...)

But i promise you that as long as you post a daily scripture every day (at least the weekdays since weekends we mostly get it from our service meeting) I promise to read and comment my thoughts.

I was going to take my daily scriptures to work to read but i guess in some ways this is easier...

    Anyway. My thoughts.
The first century christians will not be present on the paradise earth after armaggedon. I think this is very interesting because for thousands of years before jesus was born to the earth, people have wanted to learn more about the coming messiah. And after they are resurrected, there will be almost no first hand accounts to be told besides perhaps a few people who knew of him, but never had the chance to follow him...

Imagine how much interest they will have as we paint the picture of the work jesus and his disciples, the first century ministers, and modern righteous ones did, how their legacy and their experiences were able to be handed down to us.

And also think about how we can delight them by telling them specific events in our own lives that were encouraged by the faithful servants like moses, abraham, issac, daniel, and david. How we learned from their mistakes, or grew through their successes... its quite heart warming really....

One person that will not be resurrected to earth, but i really wanted to meet was stephen, the last memory of his life... what he beheld. what he saw.... i want to know...
